TYS Network - IDC Information
TYS Network is
located within a ClassA IDC in Southern NJ
Our team of trained and certified experts who operate proactively
and
quickly respond to our clients needs. Downtime is not an option.
|
|
Features: |
- First line of security.
- Badge access to the datacenter
facility.
- Authorized personnel are
permitted access as specified by TYS.
- Centralized distribution of
access badges via a card key access system.
- All other access to the
datacenter is
strictly controlled with rules and regulations specified by IDC
facility.
|
Security:
Continuous
observation through a closed-circuit TV system protects against
unauthorized entry in to the IDC. All Closed-circuit cameras are
monitored in our network operations center (NOC) by trained personnel
to protect customer equipment from breaks in security |
-
Every square foot of the IDC equipment floor is monitored 24/7 to protect their customers
application and hardware investment against breaks in security.
- Cameras are also placed in
various locations throughout the DC facility for round-the-clock
monitoring.
- Cameras are strategically placed
for precise monitoring of customers equipment.
- Monitored by trained IDC
staff in the network operations center (NOC).
- All surveillance is archived off
site for 30 days and is provided to customers upon request
|
 |
Network Operations Center - (NOC):
The
Network Operations Center is the central nervous system for the
datacenter. The NOC is locally staffed 24/7 by trained operation
technicians to monitor and support customer applications and
equipment, monitor power, HVAC, and fir-detection/suppression systems
24/7 using an automated application under the supervision of our local
operations staff. Component level failures are detected and trigger
alarms in the local NOC, allowing our trained personnel to quickly
respond and ensure systems are operational. |
- 24 / 7 monitoring of customer
applications and equipment.
- Monitoring of all infrastructure
components and equipment
- Trained for emergency handling
and disaster recovery.
- Operations staff which staff the
NOC maintain distinguished industry certifications.
- All NOC personnel complete an
extensive Inflow training program to ensure that our support staff
can be effective and assist the customer in all areas that surround
our IDC facilities.
- Customers receive dedicated
support with our operations staff.
- NOC maintains a 5:1 customer
to operations staff ratio
|
 |
Customer Cabinets:
When
you co-locate with TYS, you can rest assured your application is
housed not only in a secured datacenter, but in a high-tech, locked
cabinet, based exclusively with your requirements in mind. In
addition, the cabinet are only accessible by TYS staff. |
- Available in standard
dimension 19"
- Screened front and back allow for
increased air circulation
- Locks on both front and back
doors
- Only one key operates the cabinet
locks, the key is kept in a secure location with TYS
|

|
Datacenter:
CAT 5
cabling, Dual Fiber Entrance. Our cable chase provide quick and
easy access to the power and network cabling that is above server
racks. All cabling is organized and labeled for easy identification
and use. This results in faster installations and increased service. |
- Above cable chases, controlled
access to power and network connections.
- Fiber enters the facility in
multiple locations. Redundant entrance points for the network
connectivity and power.
- Power and network cabling is
installed to eliminate interference and other related problems.
- Preinstalled CAT 5 cabling is
separated from power cabling to prevent interference.
|
High Capacity HVAC Systems:
Ideal operating and environmental conditions make our IDC
facilities the place to co-locate. Our high-capacity heating,
ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system maintains temperature
and relative humidity levels to ensure your equipment stays up and
running. |
 |
- Maintain an average temperature
of 70 degrees F. and an average relative humidity between 20 and 30
percent.
- Cool air blows though areas in
datacenter.
- Performance is monitored at both
the local NOC.
|
Generator:
Our onsite diesel-powered generator is ready and waiting to protect
your applications at the first sign of a power interruption. Our 2500 kVA diesel generators can run for 24 hours on a single tank of
fuel. In the event of power disruption, the ATS immediately powers the
generator and within seven seconds transfers power to the UPS for
continuous charging. |
- Ready to supply power within
seven seconds of Public Service outage
- Generates power to both AC and DC
systems, powering the network without interrupting service
- 2500 kVA Cummins Synergy Diesel
generators
- Operates for 24 hours on single
tank of diesel fuel
- Contract with local fuel company
to refill tanks within two hours of request
- Power checked daily
|
 |
Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS):
The first line of defense during a power interruption, help
protect all your mission-critical applications. The UPS provides
110V/208V AC power to every customer. The UPSs receive power from
multiple power grids to ensure fail-over. The UPS powers the
datacenter racks facility in the transition to generated power. |
- Feeds two 600amp panels that in
turn feed
- APC 3000 UPS system
- Filters the power feed,
compensating for surges, high-voltage spikes, switching transients,
sags, electrical line noise, frequency variations and other
conditions that prevent the proper operation of your equipment
|
 |
Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS):
When a power interruption occurs, and chances are it will, the ATS,
automatically switches the power from the primary source to an
alternate supply. In the event of an emergency, the ATS immediately
powers the generator and within seven seconds transfers power to the
UPS for continuous charging. |
- After prolonged power outage, the
ATS automatically switches the Data Network Facility back to city
power
- 120V AC or 48V DC
|
 |
|
Power:
By offering multiple power grid connections, TYS ensures a
state-of-the-art system is in place to offer you the greatest power.
Currently, TYS provides uninterrupted AC and DC circuits the equipment cabinets. |
DC Power: |

|
- Two rectifiers convert AC power
to DC power, offering you the most usable power possible based on
your requirements
|
|
600amp Panel: |
- Receives power directly from the
UPS
- Feeds 250amp panels
- Offers the ultimate in effective
power management
|
|
250amp Panel: |
- Two panel located in secure cage
- Receives power from the 600amp
panel
|
Fire Detection/Suppression System:
IDC's redundant, state-of-the-art
fire detection and suppression systems help recognize and minimize the
ever-present threat of fire, guaranteeing the protection of your
equipment. VESDA (very early smoke detection apparatus) detects
abnormal air particulates potentially caused by equipment overheating,
giving NOC staff time to investigate the situation before it becomes a
potential problem.
|
- Heat and smoke sensors are
controlled by the NOC are located in the ceiling
- Fire conditions are detected in
all equipment room spaces
- Fire suppression system can be
activated only when multiple inputs confirm the existence of a fire
on the premises
|

The IDC provides
comprehensive, high-performance network. We guarantee 24/7 uptime with
a fail-safe, carrier-neutral infrastructure.
